Q: What events can trigger Slack / Teams notifications?

Two events. score_drop fires when a scheduled check finds your AI visibility score has genuinely fallen (outside the range to expect between two checks), and check_completed fires after every scheduled run. AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot never execute JavaScript, so there is no snippet to paste: a browser script cannot see them. AEOTrack reads them where they are visible — in your server logs. On WordPress the plugin records every crawler visit server-side; on any other stack you upload your logs (Vercel, Cloudflare, Nginx, Apache) from Dashboard → Bot Detection. Included on every plan.

Setup steps

For most integrations, no. The WordPress plugin is a one-click install. The robots.txt file is a plain-text upload. The FAQ schema template is a fill-in-the-blanks JSON file. GitHub is connected with a fine-grained personal access token; Slack, Teams and Zapier with a webhook URL — no code required.

Yes. Every POST request includes an X-AEOTrack-Signature header containing an HMAC-SHA256 signature of the raw JSON body using your secret key. Verify it on your server before processing the payload to prevent spoofed requests.
